Industrial Maintenance Technician

Industrial Maintenance Technician

About Course

The short-term Industrial Automation program at CV Tech prepares students for careers in the rapidly evolving manufacturing and automation industries. Career opportunities include roles such as electro-mechanical technician, controls technician, and programmable logic controller (PLC) technician.

In this hybrid course, students will complete online modules through CV Tech’s Learning Management System, Canvas. Students will also gain hands-on experience in mechanical systems integration and maintenance, electrical controls, robotic automation, fluid power systems (including hydraulics and pneumatics), and programmable logic controllers.

This program offers a menu of courses- YOU choose which courses to take based on your interests and goals. Each module can lead to an industry-recognized SACA (Smart Automation Certification Alliance) micro-certification in that area. Students will schedule and pay for (separately) the certification exams.

In-District students include those whose permanent residence is within any technology center district in Oklahoma. Proof of residency in the form of a utility bill, lease agreement, or mortgage will be required.

List of Specialist Certifications available to obtain upon completing the appropriate modules/micro-certifications.
