Ethical Hacking & AI in Cybersecurity

About Course

This short-term course is designed to introduce students to core ethical hacking and cybersecurity principles and tools, while also incorporating the practical use of artificial intelligence—specifically GPT-based models—to assist with cybersecurity workflows. Students will engage in labs covering password cracking, vulnerability scanning, reconnaissance, and more, and will learn to prompt, automate, and validate AI outputs to aid in tasks such as phishing analysis, log interpretation, report writing, and reconnaissance. No prior hacking experience is required, though basic computer knowledge is recommended. This course will also prepare you for the EC-Council Ethical Hacking Essentials certification, the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity certification, and begin to prepare you for the CompTIA Security+ certification.

In-District students include those whose permanent residence is within any technology center district in Oklahoma. Proof of residency in the form of a utility bill, lease agreement, or mortgage will be required.
